Brian founded Bartley Cohen in 2000 with a vision to provide a boutique commercial litigation firm, able to adapt to the various needs of clients, across a broad cross-section of industry sectors and professions. That vision remains his legacy to the firm.
Brian's litigation experience is broad and extensive. He has acted in solicitors’ negligence claims and disciplinary proceedings for over 30 years. He has also acted for diverse local and national clients in general litigation. Brian is a Queensland Law Society accredited mediator. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Brian has held a variety of board and committee appointments including: Chair, QLS Ethics Committee; member, Queensland Health Ethics Council; President, Medico-Legal Society of Queensland; board member, Centre for Law & Medicine, Bond University; Consulting Editor Uniform Civil Procedure for LexisNexis; board member, Incorporated Council of Law Reporting.
