Bartley Cohen is looking for a motivated lawyer (1-4 years PAE or alternatively experience as an associate to a judge) to join our highly regarded commercial litigation team working with market-leading, exceptional lawyers on a variety of high-value and complex litigation matters.

THE ROLE
We offer a role for junior lawyers that isn’t available in large firms, providing hands-on experience across multiple litigation practice areas including commercial disputes, directors and officers claims, defamation and privacy matters, ASIC prosecutions and professional disciplinary matters. Our junior lawyers have autonomy and, commensurate with experience:
direct contact with both clients and counsel;
a wide variety of commercial dispute matters;
hands-on work in drafting advices and correspondence, court documents, witness statements, affidavits and applications, research and attending court;
the opportunity to learn from the best lawyers in their fields.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates for the role will have the following characteristics:
Solicitor with 1 to 4 years PAE or alternatively experience as an associate to a judge
Excellent written and communication skills and high attention to detail
Proactive and positive attitude
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
